Baltic Center is a hub for Russian studies and Russian as a Foreign Language located in Riga, Latvia. Since 2015, we have offered a wide range of programs (including online during lockdowns), combining accommodation in Russian-speaking host families with university-level instruction. Most of our instructors hold degrees in teaching Russian as a foreign language. We have substantial experience organizing structured group programs of various lengths.
In partnership with the
Free University, we offer academic lectures and public talks on linguistics, international relations, sociology, history, literature, and more. Lectures can be delivered in English.
Our partners include institutions such as
Brigham Young University, Georgia Tech, University of Georgia, Wharton Business School, and others.
Baltic Center also organizes educational events, open lectures, and conferences in Riga to bring leading speakers and experts to the Baltic region. We are known for our students’ rapid progress in OPI-tested proficiency.
Baltic Center runs programs year-round — from short intensives to semester-long courses.
